The new flagship phone of Taiwanese smartphone giant HTC, the HTC One X will go on sale in the US on the 6th of May, exclusively with AT&T on a two year contract for a penny shy of $200. The phone has an eye-catching 1280×720 Super IPS LCD2 capacitive. At 4.7 inches across, it is stunning. It will be available in grey and white with pre orders starting 22nd of April.

AT&T’s version of the One X is identical to the global version except for the processor. AT&T gets the 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 instead of the NVIDIA quad-core Tegra 3 for LTE compatibility, but this is likely to slow things down on the phone just a bit. The phone is just 0.36-inches thin, shelled in an smooth polycarbonate body with a stone-like finish, and packing 1GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel rear camera paired with a single LED flash.

The One X will run Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest iteration of Google’s Android and will also be the first phone to have HTC’s Sense 4.0 UI. This will also be HTC’s and AT&T’s first smart phone to come with Dr Dre’s Beats integrated with both the hardware and software. Beats Audio provides a distortion-free sound at higher volume and rich bass at all levels for whether you are watching movies, playing games or streaming music. The Sense UI is also reported to increase the battery life and deliver a better camera experience. The 8MP camera also features improvements to several hardware and software aspects including the lens, sensor and software.
